so the weekend is almost over and still no update on the fix from developers..ggwp Dice. Definitely not pre ordering BF1 after this fiasco
Honestly you should pre-order games in the first place, most games these days end up with problems on launch, its better to just wait a bit until its sorted.
Yes this is how i do, but it's a shame for all games, that the pre-order customers were punished for baying fast. This Problem exists since the first program was written. So stay relaxed and keep waiting with a smile.
I don't even have that option since my country doesn't officially support Origin so i had to buy the game through Amazon
Option or not, it is the law.
Points 28 and 29 of federal rules on distant trade in case of defect product.
Point 21 of federal rules on distant trade in case of intact product. Up to 3 months for refund if distant retailer didn't offer a physical paper with contacts and information about refund process.

Not to be rude guys, but this has literally nothing to do with the actual thread posted here. Could we please try to keep the forum focused on the issue at hand?
On another note, it's completely unacceptable that DICE has let things slide this long. I would be more understanding if this game were a multiplayer focused game, but it's not. IT'S A SINGLE PLAYER, STORY-FOCUSED GAME!!! This mandates that the cut scenes be working properly BEFORE release. 100% game breaking.
I understand that creating a game is difficult and that there are a lot of different bases you have to cover before finally releasing your product, but seriously, the cutscenes!? It is literally unplayable for the story. This game got pushed out twice from it's two prior release dates, and you couldn't take the time to make sure that one of the most crucial portions of the game was even functioning!? Utterly ridiculous...
a word from the producers in this thread would be nice...
Exactly! Like, I think we can all understand that games in general are incredibly complex pieces of software. Fixing bugs, especially game-breaking ones, can take a relatively large amount of time and effort. However, during that large amount of time, the least they could do is give us an update. The only thing we know is that the developers are aware of the problem. That does not help us. They need to be honest & upfront about this issue; we do not deserve to be left in the dark.

I'm still having problems and I got the game today. What gives? It is very very VERY distracting during the otherwise crisp cutscenes. The gameplay is perfect. Please give us an answer, devs!
I'm not going to be patient at this time. They've known this issue for two weeks, and it's game breaking, to say the least. It's been 5 days since release, and I can't play the game.
I'm not going to be patient at this time. They've known this issue for two weeks
Even longer than that, actually, which makes it worse. This issue has been present & known since the Closed Beta. Many people including myself experienced & reported it during that time.
We haven't got any single reply during beta. And I don't see them fixing anything. So that means for EA beta test is just yet another sneaky marketing term.

Yeah it makes me so annoyed! Well luckily i got other things to do in the meantime but srsly. Problem has persisted for weeks, was not fixed before release... And that it is pre-rendered video files is the worst part. I better watch them from youtube because youtube doesn't lag on HD even with my slow internet But watching the cutscene videos ingame? Horrible video lag! It's just a video file and it lags. I think they did something badly with codecs or something. If they manage to fix it within this week i will be happy. My vacation begins next week.
I just got the game yesterday on pc, and everything run great except the cut scenes like i actually have stopped playing because i have no idea whats going on cause I've skipped like every cut scene to save myself from the horror of watching the massive fps drop and audio desync

there is a video at youtube containing all cutscenes. I used it to watch all of the cutscenes i have experienced with lag but im afraid of it spoiling stuff so i stopped playing myself until this is sorted out.
Have anyone also noticed how the thumbnail videos on the skill upgrade screen also lag? Like it does in the cutscenes? I think this issue is for all pre-rendered video files of any sort except the ones showing on TV screens but that's more like a moving texture...
I got happy to see a new update today until i found out it didn't solve anything ... What the heck was that update supposed to do?
I have the same question. For me, it actually made the overall performance worse, especially in Fullscreen mode. What is going on? It's incredibly frustrating to not be able to experience the story properly. Only two options exist at this current time:
1) Don't play the story at all
2) Painstakingly switch to watching cutscenes on YouTube when necessary
Both options are very annoying. I just want to be able to play the game as intended.
Try to close unnecessary programmes in background on windows, especially programmes that are using high parts of ram. Also, open vsync on and there was a setting that something about cpu. It helps to reduce usage of cpu or something like that, I forgot. These helped me a lot for cutscenes and also gameplay , not %100 but at least I can say %90.

Yeah i have watched some of the cutscenes on youtube as well but the video almost spoiled stuff so i'm on the wait for a update right now. I looked forward playing this game on release but i launched the game to see heavy lag. It discouraged my sister to try the game at all since she wanted to play it for the story.
I have tried lots of different options trying to make the cutscenes run better but none of them helps. Turning V-sync off did for some weird reason improve it a little.

Trust me, I have done absolutely EVERYTHING to attempt to fix this issue on my end. Considering how many others are having this exact same issue, it's clearly something the developers need to fix. At the very least, they need to tell us what the issue is caused by. The patch that was released just now didn't do ANYTHING. I even took the time to repair the game files via Origin, in addition to re-installing the update. Nothing works! It's getting absolutely ridiculous and extremely frustrating to not be able to play a game that we paid full price for.
Also, I'd like to point out that the issue seems to have very little to do with individual PC specs/configurations. People with much better specs than myself are still experiencing this issue.
Very sad to see that the update didn't solve anything. DICE really? the game is out for 1 week and we still can't play it correctly.... I'm disappointed
Yeah, the update didn't solve anything at all. I run an i7 4790k 4.6gHz OC, 32GB ram and a GTX 980Ti, the problem sure as **** isn't on the performance side of my rig.
I've noticed that some character models will shake in their place while doing their animations....this happened in the first escape with the "special" unit.
This is really strange. Just reminding you again, I simply upgraded my PC RAM from 12 to 18 GB - and it worked! After that, the cutscenes where off sync only at the first 10 seconds and then where perfectly normal.
Reading here that even someone with a 32 GB Ram PC can't have the scenes being played properly makes me feel sorry. Just saying.

Is this for sure? I have 8GB and some cutscenes are sync and some are completely out of sync. DICE tells something like 16GB are wellcome. But this is bad Idea, 60% of the Gamers has not 16GB i guess.
Annnnnnd the new update fixed...you guessed it! NOTHING! My god, I give up with this game, I'll come back in a year and maybe, just maybe this will be fixed. The update partially fixed the cutscene reuniting with Noah, but tested the first birdman cutscene, nope 5 seconds out of sync with audio and video. Unbelievable. Waited a week for a fix and we get something that doesn't even fix the central problem most PC users are facing. I have an i5-6600k cpu, 980ti, and 16GB of RAM, I highly doubt my hardware is the issue here.
Now i can tell something strange, i tested how much graphic memory the game use with Graphic memory limit on.
It was taken i litle more than 2200gb. My graphic card has 4gb so i took graphic memory limit off and on ultra settings, the game was never taken more than 3500gb. I was playing now for 30minutes and had fps between 50-30 but by 80% it is by 45fps and very smooth to play. The joke is, i have only I5 650, 8GB ram, gtx960ssc! I SHOULD NOT BE PLAYABLE IN ULTRA WITH THIS SPECS, BUT I DO!
Is this a efect from the update today or what?
So the message is, turn the graphic memory limit off if you have 4GB or more graphic card.
I had in this 30 minutes no cutcenes but i will tell you when i had one.
The game itselfe runns better and i have heigh resolution textures everywehr now.
I did not try in hyper settings, because i am absolute good with the ultra settings on my old computer.

Agreed. 100% right on.
it's so frustrating, I waited this game for years, and now that it is released I can't play...
Depend on a local legislation, but in most time phone call is where you begin.
